So I’ve ridden in a couple teslas recently and the way they accelerate and slow down makes me nauseous. Is that something you ever get used to? Is it better as a driver?

that happened to me the first few times as a passenger typically has to do w the driver - they don’t have to accelerate that quickly, but the pedal is sensitive, so many do

from a driver pov it’s sort of an odd car to drive because by default: 1) it has no creep like an ICE vehicle 2) it uses regenerative breaking which brakes whenever you take your foot off the accelerator so, instead of feathering the gas/brake to smooth out the ride, you need to be particularly careful with how smoothly you take your foot off the accelerator. and due to the regenerative braking, you rarely need to actually use the brake unless stopping suddenly. you’re mostly just on/off the accelerator. slightly different muscle memory than other vehicles, so I remember feeling pretty jerky on my first rental. after a few trips I can now make it really smooth though and seasoned tesla drivers should be the same.
