The United States is the only country I know that celebrates its elections with as much excitement as they do. The National Conventions are like music festivals. The debates are promoted like boxing fight nights. We've genuinely embraced spectacle in favor of dynamic and meaningful discourse.

I’m always in favor of those 3 hour podcast sessions because that’s where you get the heart of a person Only person to do that so far is RFK jr, who currently has my vote. Was excited to potentially hear something more organic from Trump/Musk X space, but that didn’t go too well from my perspective. Have yet to hear anything from Kamala Idk just thoughts. I agree with you though

Perhaps we're the outliers and there's some merit to the performative qualities politics has taken on in this country. Maybe this is the only way to get people to pay attention. Or perhaps it's a matter of, "if football does it, why not us?" In any case, I agree with you. It feels overly produced and inorganic. I want to know who I'm voting for, idc about anything else.

If world of Warcraft has taught me anything, it’s that there can be 2 made up factions (horde and alliance) and people can be 100% connected to the faction for no reason. It’s funny and all, but wild to see people genuinely hate the other faction in-game. There must be some underlying connection there lol
