PR 2 in, Geth v1.14.0 will stop creating the pending block unconditionally, and will rather only do it on demand for users relying to the functionality. Will give you some numbers a bit later.

Incredible. Nice to still see that Geth still has a ways to go on optimizations.

Curious what you think of these “parallel EVM” chains or “pipelining” considering you have been in the EVM trenches this entire time.
