Italian food is so overrated. I like it, but Indian, Korean, and Tex-Mex flavors are much more interesting.

My take: Indian, Korean, and Tex-Mex rely on strong spices and provide a very different experience. 

Italian food is about simplicity and subtlety. Dishes tend to use the flavour of key ingredients rather than spices. 

Not saying one approach is better than the other. They’re just different philosophies.

I think you're right. Maybe I just prefer stronger, spice-induced food experiences
