Anyone who read the Reddit S1, why does it cost $891MM to run reddit?

Funny that they didn't put their biggest risk in the S1 as making their API so prohibitively expensive that they alienated 90% of their builder ecosystem.

I’ll put my money on there being 10000 lines of DEI dependency jammed into the operating expenses and someone might get the sniffles if they unfuck it

Does it seem like Reddit should cost a billion dollars to run, to you? Perhaps insourcing video is super expensive. 2K employees also seems like a lot considering what the site does.

2K employees + server costs. My question is more how do they make only $10 per year for each of their 78m daily actives?

I don't see that figure? In FY23 they declared $944M in Costs and Expenses.
