I actually think we're probably already at the point where the marginal bit of anti-wokeness is on balance more bad than good.

(Not the same as wokeness being good, because anti-wokeness doesn't just fight wokeness, it also has many, IMO mostly bad, side effects)

the loudest people who became the face of wokeness are also the dumbest. discrimination is a fact. sadly the discourse shining a light on it was taken over by people who wanted a weapon to use in online fights, which they brandished amateurishly. reactionary men’s rights types had a perfect adversary (both insipid)

If that is the case (and I think it is) then there hasn't really been an overcorrection, because they just aren't stopping or diminishing.

With regards to Mr. Buterin's post, it's all hypothetical. "what if" "anti-wokeness" goes too far? I'll worry about that when it's winning.

I feel like most politics has degraded into name-calling, but maybe that's all most of it ever has been
