two thoughts - changing your opinion should be appreciated and even celebrated; the only people who will get mad about you changing an opinion are fixed mindset mids (mostly) - optimizing for fun should be encouraged because it can mean optimizing for wealth; never fun to lose money (v different than spending money)

yes, so long as you’re aren’t a jerk about your opinions. some people in tech circles use “strong opinions loosely held” as a cover story for being rude to people with less power (an unbecoming trait), then switching opinions as it suits them.
