As long as they turn on Advanced Data Protection and a Recovery Contact, I agree. Recovery contacts could use a threshold scheme, as opposed to the 1/1 setup for recovery it currently allows.

I'd push back to say for most people the defaults are better than the alternative which is a weak password or emailing it themselves.
