For a franchise with such potential and incredible intellectual property, there hasn’t been a more disappointing string of movies than the Alien films.

Really? I’ve heard the opposite about it. I love the universe and Alien is one of my favorite movies ever. But, I think the ideas are much better than the execution.

Oh, interesting since I've been hearing good things about Romulus. However, I agree that some of them in this franchise have not been very good.

I’d go back to Ressurection but I enjoyed still. My friends and I watched Prometheus multiple times because we wanted it to be good but just fell short. I want to try Covenant again but…I don’t have true faith. 2 out of the 6-8 movies are good and 1 is perfect. It’s unfortunate.

I think I shall skip Romulus then.  Prometheus was more likely the start of the downhill slope then?

Totally. Tim Burton tried and failed but if can’t do it, I don’t think anyone can. 

Do we dare put Addams Family in this same category? Scooby Doo? The Last Airbender? 

Transformers definitely but none of those have been good.

Prey was good, but Predator kinda shit the bed too.

Willy Wonka has also been terrible
