yea I think they overthought every aspect of the protocol. All the NFTs and stuff are unnecessary

And Lens hand-waved the actual content distribution method to an URI. As a result, some apps use centralized https endpoint for content which totally default the purpose of a decentralized m network. And putting everyone on-chain greatly limits innovations allowed on client, which, again, is anti-decentralization.
