How can we quantify "vibes" on Farcaster? In this @paragraph piece, I dive into some fascinating cast data to see what + who drives engagement here. Let me know your thoughts and if any other areas worth exploring. https://paragraph.xyz/@castaway/quantifying-vibes

Interesting write-up ! "At this stage of its growth, what's kept Farcaster engaging is a core culture of people giving generously - their questions, answers, likes, tips, and ideas." Don't you think this is the case of any nascent social media ? smaller = cosier. But how does a network keep this vibe as it grows ?

This has been the question at 1000, 2000, 40000, 8000, 16000, 32000, 64000, 128000, now ~256000. Channels, and human behavior keeps it cozy. Persist the vibe, that was all it was.

Excellent take. Farcaster doesn’t need to be bigger, completely mainstream or fully replace Twitter. It just needs to be better, at any size. Let’s aim for that.

Easier monetization of memes and ideas (zora mints, degen tips) means you don't have to build up a massive following to monetize You can vibe and pop occasionally. Don't need 1% of 1M followers to pay $20 for a shirt, just 2 mints pays for a zora mint as creator, keep memeing and something will pop
