Some proposal states lack transactions and transaction hashes, so there's no need for Etherscan links.

@supriyo.eth Where exactly did I sound jealous when talking about making this space more competitive? Did you just sidestep that point entirely? Every time I mention client incentives, it’s like clockwork: "Well, others are already getting overpaid, so we’ve got a precedent." And I’m sitting here like, "Sure, that was relevant in the Jurassic era, but now we’ve got actual ways to progress." 😹

One of the funny things about Nouns is how being “Nounish” is supposed to mean doing good without expecting anything in return. But if you look closer, it’s like a Where’s Waldo trying to spot a Nounder who’s actually done anything unpaid. These folks are stacking up Nouns, cashing checks, and leading some of the biggest spending sprees around here. And now, the plan is to go non-profit, or as some clever souls are calling it, noun-profit. Get amusing by this show, it’s redefining “charity work,” huh? Sorry for not being Nounish enough to keep this talk behind closed doors. 😹

Getting closer to feeling like a corporation run by board members, while the rest of us are just small shareholders. For now, we still have a voice, but who knows about the future. I've seen some wild ideas floating around; like muting voters.

For those not familiar with the concept of Client Incentives, check out this article by Verbs on how it all works and how you can get involved: https://mirror.xyz/verbsteam.eth/I5KgKbcJBjROn4KR_Ks9VcAuQXYUUHwkzGiX0gFbtME

If we decided on using client incentives, we should at least stay consistent with it. The only stat that really matters here is whether anyone is actually using the client, and that comes from onchain client incentive records, which I don’t see mentioned in this proposal. If no one’s using Nouns Terminal, what’s the point of funding it further? And if they are using it enough, aren’t the current rewards doing the job? If they’re not, shouldn’t we be looking to increase the incentives instead of just reverting back? We put nearly a million into Verbs this year, and as far as I know, the only thing they’ve fully delivered is client incentives, which, if this is the outcome, seem pointless.

Alright, so here's what I'm seeing, Nouns Terminal was already funded with at least 25 ETH, right? Kinda odd that this isn't mentioned in the proposal. Plus, it's been open-sourced for a few months now. Even though it says the project is open for self-use, I'm still wondering, I noticed there’s no license on the project that clarify that, without a license it could not be used legally in a lot of jurisdiction and ethically I assume everywhere. https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/676

Some projects thrive without traditional revenue streams, purely because of strong community backing. Wikipedia, for instance, relies on donations and volunteer efforts but remains one of the most visited sites globally thanks to its active editors. Similarly, open-source software like Linux and Apache are kept alive by passionate contributors without needing a “sustainable” revenue model. If Nouns hasn’t achieved this level of community over the years, that points to a clear gap in their community-building efforts.

I was reading something, stumbled upon this, and thought, this is some people's story. The pride in "nothing" shouldn't be traded for "little." "Little" is like an addiction, it taints you, makes you scared, makes you cling to it. After a while, you'll accept any humiliation just so they don't take even that from you. It clips your wings.

It’s all theater. If you take a closer look at VWRs, they reveal more truth than any of the numbers ever will. It’s theater because things are done without any real accountability, no matter how or by whom.

They’ll sidestep the rules, putting on a show like they care about law and order, but deep down, it’s all about grabbing power. Then they’ll just shrug off their little resource grab, acting like nothing’s wrong—waiting for us to go along with it and pretend we didn’t notice. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The point is, we need to raise the cost of these moves instead of pretending it’s all good. They’ve pulled this before, and it’s up to us to make sure everyone knows. That the least we can do. 🤔

I've noticed there's an issue with the Voting Overview modal when rendering revotes.

A timeline section like Snapshot or Tally would totally make sense for Camp. https://www.tally.xyz/gov/nounsdao/proposal/662

As I suspected, no one seems to have a clear idea of what Nouns’ values and metrics actually are or what alignment even means in this context. My follow-up question: how does Nouns, as an Ethereum project and community, align with Ethereum’s values? It’s tricky since no one has answer for previous questions. 😹

Based on everything we’ve seen and the info provided, the main goal of shifting toward DUNA is pretty clear: getting money into the treasury from hypothetical future investors. But that only happens if, post-DUNA, they somehow pull off the 501(c)(3) status, which honestly seems like a long shot. Plus, with all the social capture and conflicts of interest we’ve already seen with the foundation, it’s hard to be optimistic about web2 companies jumping into Nouns. Their priority will be securing their interests, not backing degen moves. 🤔

A few weeks back, Vitalik dropped a solid article on making Ethereum alignment clearer, focusing on keeping projects decentralized, cooperative, and open. It’s a must-read if you're shaping Ethereum’s future. As a Nouns community member, what do you think Nouns' key metrics and values are? And what does alignment even mean in this community? 🤔 https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2024/09/28/alignment.html

If this were a regular proposal, I'd agree with you, no doubt. But we're talking about a proposal that's kicking off a new season of Nouns, and it's being framed that way. Shouldn't the community get proper announcements, more time, and some real credit for that? I mean, it's practically a referendum, how many referendums do you see in a lifetime? 🤔

The Cayman Foundation was pushed as a "battle-tested" fix, but now it's magically ineffective? And, surprise, they're rushing us into a new structure that’s barely six months old, without any clear intentions. This whole urgency feels a bit too convenient, almost like it's designed to manipulate the social layer and steer the narrative. Feels like we’re being played. 🤔
