I was thinking about whether the Nouns Break Even Movement should be adopted by Lils too. But the game here is different; whales don’t even bother providing rationale for their moves, and communication is practically nonexistent. Meanwhile, we’re burning through years of future income on initiatives with a track record of zero impact on revenue or even basic proliferation. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Noticed that the nouns.wtf assets library got swapped out for a new one instead of keeping the original updated. Just curious why; since the Nouns assets library (and others) are widely used across frontends and related tools that rely on them. If there’s a plan to discontinue core libraries, it should be properly announced, ideally through the original packages, to avoid unnecessary confusion and to provide clear recommendations for alternatives if needed. 🤔

Alright, hear me out: Nouns has basically turned into a US corporation, where the Nounders block has absolute control and benefits the most from it. Meanwhile, a working group from the Nounders block decides to appoint an admin close to them and just drops the announcement on the DAO afterward. Oh, and let’s not forget; they’re also going to control the veto. And what happened to all the talk about 501(c)(3)? Radio silence. Call me a skeptic, but if you know even a little about politics, you’ll see what I’m saying here. 🤔 🤷‍♂️

To be fair, they just signaled without slamming their vote to push a proposal through. What they have done so far is completely permissionless; anyone could have done it. Meanwhile, the Nounders block relied on a mix of fear and social influence to push their agenda forward. 🤔

I was curious about the recent DUNA proposals, but it looks like the actual DUNA board decided and announced that so early. I guess I’m not going to vote to make it more legitimate, so nothing to wonder about anymore. 🤔🤷‍♂️
