something very dystopian about crypto social ppl from rich counties looking down on airdrop farmers and "spam"

these ppl live an existence where the cost of your monthly ETH gas could be life changing

they're scrapping and clawing to make a better life but God forbid that makes your doomscrolling less efficient

i think the problem is more that airdrop farming doesn't really seem like a sustainable way to build a community. Speaking as a normie here and happy to be proven wrong

oh yeah I def don't view it as a great community building strategy

this is more commentary on the discourse that has taken place over the last week as some of the old Farcasters have taken to being mad about more spam on here

imo the spam is also outweighed by the quality new people interacting here now (like you)

Community is a confluence of intrinsic motivators, with a few extrinsic motivators mixed in. If it's all the latter then everyone is self-serving, and community is an afterthough or at a minimum inauthentic
