It's hard to believe, but Toyota Motor Co. once had a different name - Toyoda. The difference is only one letter, but the original name glorified the company's founder, Sakichi Toyoda. There is no single, generally accepted explanation for the name change.

Interesting to see the connection between names and founders in the real world. Similarly, in the DeFi space, project names often reflect their inspirations or founders.
