Just because everyone else appears to be doing something a particular way doesn’t mean you need to follow along. 

There is a tendency to create social pressures here to adopt “the one true way” around…well…everything.

I strongly encourage people to take their own path and do what’s best for themselves.

This is one of those things I fight hard against. The 'way of doing things' doesn't work for everyone, and in all honestly, we often need to adapt or things will get banal and stale anyway.
