Nice channel idea. Here is my contribution. A fascinating book on the history of perspective. As the cover on the photo is in French, here is a link to an English version https://www.hup.harvard.edu/books/9780674050044

500 $DEGEN - thanks for joining the channel and sharing a book from the library. Sounds interesting, the history of perspective is some important general knowledge. Did you have any special intention back then when you bought it?

Yes, someone wrote a text about my work in 2013, talking about this book. It took me a while because I didn't see the connection at first, but it's been a few years since it became a landmark on which many of my projects are based. If you want to read it, here's the link https://nicolas-lebrun.fr/en/project/random/

This is a great review, really enjoyed reading it. You have my respect for the well-thought concept of your random() project. Thanks for sharing it, exactly the content I imagine for this channel. Slightly more slow-paced and more in-depth šŸ§

šŸ¤” ā€¦1989, at a time when performances and installations threatened the visual arts with fatal implosion. Belting suggested that, the idea having swept away history and since a new meaning had been given to it, art could do without a narrative. It was in a way immobilised. The Internet was going to immaterialize it
