Question for you around a strategy I have for creating content for /stokefire. Curious to hear what you think! Link to some of my other videos below.

It seems the person youโ€™d hire would have to know or be able to suggest the stages of development in near, mid, and long so the story could have chapters. There are no NPCs as far as I know and youโ€™d want to introduce them for stability and world building. You may have active players now, but if they become inactive and the story involves them, youโ€™ve lost momentum. The NPCs would help normies โ€œgetโ€ the plot lines and make it more than an endless farming game.

besides that maybe get bigger channels to mention the game...if coinbureau f.e. would mention it in a vid about games you would get a bunch of new users super fast ๐Ÿ‘ i know you want to reach normies too but crypto websites/blogs would have the possibility to reach the right audience imho

This is super fun to think about but also a hard problem. Iโ€™ll hopefully get back to you with a better response in time but I want to share this real quick: My build timer for a resource just came up and then my girlfriend rushed from the couch to come look see me pick a number of village and see the reveal. We both got excited for the amount of food we got. I feel like there is something there around sourcing reactions like these.

Just had a thought on this too @nbragg Are you working with any DeFi apps to promote the $FIRE token? I feel like the is a part of the story for the game / journey. Users finding the token through DeFi is another route to get new players

I like the shorts youโ€™ve made so far Agree someone working on the story telling would help Memes that ppl relate to IRL when playing the game can be fun too, like alarms going off in public or raids backfiring

Awesome idea, here are my 2 cents on this: First off, don't forget to add twitch if you wanna focus on streaming. You do more of the technicals and development, which takes up your whole time and majority of the viewers on the channel might not understand the technicals properly.....

1. If the goal is to truly enrich the game's content, I think there are many aspects of Supercell's game, Clash of Clans, that are worth learning from, as it has rich content and team collaboration elements. Games seem to be inseparable from cooperation; if we can repeatedly showcase collaborative content, it can attract more people. 2. If the goal is simply to create a simple web3 interactive mini-game, then it only needs to achieve smoother interactions and a straightforward gaming experience, which is a crude way to profit and bring more people into the game. However, in the end, it may fall into the same vortex as previous web3 games.

I think the shorts youโ€™ve made are cool, but theyโ€™re probably of more interest to the builder/crypto crowd. My experience with mainstream gamers is that they have been burnt by micro-transactions and pay to win built into their favourite AAA games; such that they have a knee jerk reaction to any financialization of games. Even if it could financially benefit them or fix market failures. So I think if you want to attract normies you should do 3 things: 1.Keep making the game more strategic with player driven choices to keep people interested and the game fun. 2. Work on the world building and story telling. Who are the villages? Why are they fighting? Whatโ€™s the context? Get some art going. Whatโ€™s the world like, is it dark & grimey or is it light & family friendly? 3. Obscure the financial side initially. Maybe the app is $3 in the App Store instead of free, allowing all players to start with some $fire. Theyโ€™re playing and having fun, oh wait this is a crypto game? And Iโ€™m getting paid?

Would love to talk about content creation and youtube if you fancy it one day buddy. I've been creating, editing vids on YouTube for the past decade, it's a great platform. The current stage of Stokefire might be a little bare for a weekly video but maybe somthing a minute or 2 long broken up into sections like dev updates, road maps, and storyline. Love the game so far and enjoying the ride, I think involving more strategy into the game, maybe been able to assign villages as soldiers, like infantry, cavalry and archer. Making it a rock paper scissor mechanic. Battles would not use up the troops but have a baring on win or loss. Could create a nice ballance on how much workers you keep compared to a military.
