I believe that making things starts with copying.
I like it, get curious about it, want to do it myself, copy it, and from there my understanding deepens and I emerge.
At least that's how I see it.
I studied calligraphy in college, and over and over again I copied the characters of old people.
I probably spent more time copying than creating my own works.
From there, I came up with what I wanted to write.
I consider what came to mind to be original.
