I think once more non-crypto people realize Farcaster is kinda like Twitter + Reddit with embedded gambling it could really take off.

FWIW I don’t see “with gambling” as a bad thing. It’s a good way to pique people’s curiosity and get them to try something new. So long as there’s something more than that to keep them around, which FC really has unlike FT / BitClout

Yesterday, I talked to an industry OG builder about why social media needs a decentralized architecture? Why does it need to be censorship-resistant? What are the directions and scenarios that best reflect its differentiation from mainstream web2 platforms such as Twitter? He told me that in addition to freedom of speech, the most obvious needs are pornography and gambling; both of these scenarios can only be realized on a completely decentralized, censorship-resistant social network. Of course, I think they are part of human beings' further realization of freedom! The combination of completely decentralized/censorship-resistant social networks and encryption technology and encrypted assets is natural and will burst out with tremendous power!
