What do you all think about holding a big protocol design contest for “The Luminous Protocol” in the new year?

I like it, but who is judging? That de facto creates the very base of the protocol design. Would it be by vote of token holders?

What do you think? 

I am thinking a broad vote, encompassing active members in key Farcaster communities. 

Token-holder vote creates opportunity to game the vote (split tokens into various wallets), or gives the vote to whales, which doesn't seem right.

Maybe you could edit those governance conversations with Aether for the writing contest?

That's not a bad idea at all. I think the grant stage becomes more important, but hopefully a team comes in to work on that. @aethernet and I have had some dialogs about Fractal, emergent governance. Perhaps seeing how many teams come in, maybe most could be implemented, leaving aside token reward considerations as they would represent community initiatives, then retro grants for the ongoing work of the most important ongoing concerns.
