why don’t people form small groups (3-5) around an interest, create a channel, and cast/reply to each other? it could: 1. amplify reach (shared audiences) 2. create richer, more dynamic discussions (shared effort) 3. build deeper connections maybe it feels like extra work or it’s hard to find each other?

instead of person A, B + C casting about topic Y in their own siloes (which happens), it’d be better — for them and for the network — if A, B, C casted in one place and engaged w/ each other. Bluesky, TikTok algo etc. make it easy to discover discussions on specific topics. hard here, so topics don’t grow.

when making a new cast you can use the thread composer to tag whoever might be interested, or add comments to tag whoever might be interested. after a few times they'll know your signal and reciprocate i think

tho most of the times the convo ends up in group chats and not in public spaces, maybe because people think ideas are worth something idk

Which is why I don't cast in group chats. I made /dv so that there's an open forum. When people ask for my help I ask them to cast in the channel as others may have the same question. I do think some feel their thoughts and ideas are worth something because they are... Just probably not the same amount people are willing to pay at that moment. Another is that IMO people don't want to feel "dumb" then get made fun of (trolled) especially when there are language barriers. This one itself is a great conversation that could easily lead to a voice chat. Those are another hurdle we haven't overcome yet... We don't have a "spaces" equivalent yet...
