For context, I’m a native Floridian that GTFO’d about 10 years ago but still follows Florida politics because it affects my friends and family.

tl;dr version, **FLORIDA POLITICIANS ARE NEVER TO BE TRUSTED.** Usually for more than one reason. And DeSantis, phew, he’s particularly awful.

I’ll front-load this with DeSantis’s worst qualities. He’s vindictive, authoritarian, and has neo-fascist tendencies. He has no ideals or principles besides seeking power.

Imagine what sort of ambitious but unscrupulous politician would come out of Harvard and Yale but pretend to be a populist.
