It was a mistake to use the word "toffee" for some candy thing. I just accidentally made a 50/50 tea+coffee mix, and coffee people actually liked it. We should call that toffee instead.

I just learned about "church basement egg coffee" where you crush an egg, shell and all, into ground coffee and mix thoroughly, then brew it all in a pot of boiling water (not too long or tannic acid develops), then strain and serve. It comes out clear and rich like a creamy tea. Apparently the shell reduces acidity.
