A nice thing about having a smaller social media platform is thatā€™s basically impossible to form ideological bubbles or secluded tribes. There arenā€™t enough people to do that, so you need to interact with whoever is there and make it work. That can force you out of your comfort zone a bit and open you to the possibility of growth by being around those different than you. Iā€™d compare it to living in a village versus living in a big city. In a village there are a bunch of people who live in close proximity and didnā€™t choose each other, but they all have to play a role and make it work because thatā€™s who they have. In a big city people hive off into groups based on ascribed interests and identity. That can be great, but as we all know something is lost in the process. X is like a bustling metropolis and Farcaster is like a small town; albeit one that is building more housing and infrastructure and starting to attract more immigrants looking for opportunity or just a change in scenery.
