A nice thing about having a smaller social media platform is thatās basically impossible to form ideological bubbles or secluded tribes. There arenāt enough people to do that, so you need to interact with whoever is there and make it work. That can force you out of your comfort zone a bit and open you to the possibility of growth by being around those different than you. Iād compare it to living in a village versus living in a big city. In a village there are a bunch of people who live in close proximity and didnāt choose each other, but they all have to play a role and make it work because thatās who they have. In a big city people hive off into groups based on ascribed interests and identity. That can be great, but as we all know something is lost in the process. X is like a bustling metropolis and Farcaster is like a small town; albeit one that is building more housing and infrastructure and starting to attract more immigrants looking for opportunity or just a change in scenery.
