This was fabulous - bravo ;-). Screen time aside, Music, The Brain, and Ecstasy by Robert Jourdain has a great section on how anticipation and expectation are core to the emotional impact of music - it was a fascinating read ;-)

I definitely have a bit of a ritual when it comes to listening to entire symphonies these days, that's probably another thing that's lost with streaming everything without needing to move your fingers ^^
