8. Time is running out. If you're starting a new career or learning a new skill and you're not doing well, don't despair. Maybe it will take you 5 or 10 years to get to a good level. So what? They will go this way and that, but in a couple of years you will regret that you did not start today.

Apparently, after 5 years I will regret that I did not start painting an artist earlier.

So there's no point complaining that “it's a long time.”All good things need to be done for a long time. Now I regret that I did not start writing down my thoughts in an essay about 15 years ago (although there were attempts in LiveJournal).
