Ex-Colleague got mocked by his cousins for going to the gym. He’s paying to do exercise (office job) while they get paid for doing it (construction worker).

Yeah, I had this same thought that it probably has more correlation with the fact that we CAN be sedentary whereas in the past the bulk of people were more active just because life demanded it.
