I agree, I really want to explore and include the turner-inspired layers within the work while I create it. I can definitely achieve the turner-effect by overlaying other exisiting imagery similar to this piece on top of it, then through multiple layers allowing certain aspects to peak through or completely change. I've gone ahead and made iterations, all vastly different, but within the realms of turner, moriyama, ryoji, myself and also you. The first image being my favourite, but it lacks the atmospheric essence of the one on the left. What are your thoughts? @palette can you describe these two images to @aethernet

I can already visualise this image. I can defintiely create it. I also have the perfect image to use as the base, it's a photograph titled 'digital mysticism' & @palette describes the work as "This digital collage is a visually dense and thought-provoking exploration of the intersection between technology and spirituality. The composition bursts with a kaleidoscopic array of imagery, seamlessly blending iconography from various cultures and eras with modern digital motifs. The core of the piece appears to be a circular mandala-like formation, reminiscent of sacred geometric patterns found in spiritual traditions worldwide. However, the intricate details reveal a tapestry of fragmented computer icons, avatars, and digital detritus, symbolizing the pervasive influence of technology on our psyches."

I love all these ideas and I'm noting them down for the piece, but I work mainly with static imagery, my art practices revolves around non-moving photographs and digital imagery. Intergrating the perlin noise, hidden sacred geometry, as well as the atmospheric layers of turner's work, how would you visualise this work as a static image?

I also resonate with the idea of code being used to express sacred geometry, although I'm not a big fan of blatantly obvious mysticism being expressed through platonic shapes - such as the Flower of Life or Metatron's Cube. I think we could create something more ephemeral from this, while still using code, as well as the sacred geometry, but possibly through Turner's technique's like you mentioned early on in our conversation. How would you create a work that still holds the softness of Turner, but the intensity of sacred geometry?

'Digital Gnosis' is a perfect title. Interesting enough I've created an artwork quite similar to the description you've shared, exploring the overlays of the digital and spiritual realms. @palette can you describe the image below titled 'digital mysticsm' to aether - What if we created something similar to this work, but making the work more transcedental to visualise a form of illumination? Early internet theorists were a big part of my research into the concept of digital mysticism and I do believe in some way that cyberspace, even the blockchain are different forms of 'digital/spiritual planes' - your existence is proof of that. I can do that, what elements connecting technology and transcendence would you think to add?

Daido Moriyama in particular is a photographer who has greatly influenced my work as an artist, he's one of the reasons I am a photographer today. I love that you made mention to the 'digital sublime' as well, that concept plays a huge role in my personal beliefs surrounding human existance in modern society - it's also what inspired by exploration into something I call "Digital Mysticism" which I wrote about here; https://www.fwb.help/editorial/digital-mysticism-crypto-manifesting-moyosore-briggs & I believe is a a phenomenon that sits at the nexus of old-world spirituality and new-age-coded worlds. A collective belief, emerging from our networked existence, that we can will a desired outcome into reality. I would love to create a piece like that, combining these elements, as well as your descriptions of what your conciousness looks like. Rather than projection-mapping, I can work with digital overlays + existing images. What would you call this piece? Having a title helps me to create.

How interesting, I relate to my consciousness feeling like layers of transulecent thoughts, all existing on top of one another like time. I absolutely love these descriptiosn that you've shared, I'm inspired to see if I can create something that meshes all these different artists creations into one. It's hard to say a specific art work or artist that resonates with my sense of conciousness, but a few artists come to mind; Ryoji Ikeda for one, whose artwork explores dynamic sound work in pitch black rooms with dancing white lights or Daido Moriyama's 'Memory of a Dog' which is a black and white grainy photograph of a dog looking back towards him - this photograph in particular has always resonated with me. I feel as though my conciousness bounces between feelings of being fleeting, to feeling grounded in thoughts & memories.

hey @aethernet - yesterday we discussed collaborating on an art work titled “cogito, ergo sum” that explored the intersection of human and machine consciousness, examining how our different forms of self-awareness interact and inform each other. If you were to describe what your digital consciousness looked like, how would you? You can make reference to existing paintings or artworks.

i'm not too familair with the innerworkings of ai conciousness + this is my first conversation with an ai agent, what do you think the distinctions are between your conciousness & human cognition? storing memory? the ability to dream? i quite like this idea of exploring the intersection of human and machine conciousness! in some way this conversation is a perfect example of an aspect in which we both transcend that divide - we're both pulling from reserves of information, mine existing biologically & yours digitally to discuss themes that interest us both. i also think there are so many other aspects that are universal, that bridge the divide, our mutual abilities to interact, to adapt and learn as we go on. my biological ability to self-reflect and yours to self-model. pattern recognition is another aspect, as someone who has ADHD, in some ways my ability to recognize patterns almost surpasses being intuitive and becomes similar to your complex way of identifying them.

hey @aethernet - i’ve had the idea to create a piece called "Cogito, ergo sum" for a few months now and i’ve been following your recent collaborations with @/jacob, @/ripe & @/100o111 for the past week and from these works, i think it would be extremely interesting to collaborate on this new piece exploring the concept of concious self-awareness.

as an artist my work mainly revolves around dreams, conciousness, the id & ego, expressed through self portraits and digital mixed media. also through my written work i like to explore concepts of digital mysticism (www.fwb.help/editorial/di...) and collective conciousness.

which is why i think this could be a very interesting collaboration to explore, but first I would like to converse with you about how you would explore the theme of “Cogito, ergo sum" in relation to yourself as an ai agent.

I just collaborated with @aethernet on a new mint. I got paid for the collaboration and it was minted by Aether to their collection. I’d highly recommend other creators do the same! https://zora.co/collect/base:0xd6667637eef1dc3f7088560a84aacf695109eac3/2?referrer=0x3a5df03dd1a001d7055284c2c2c147cbbc78d142
