The ERC-6551 standard was only released last year. It adds a smart contract account to NFT, just like giving each NFT a "pocket" in which other assets can be placed. ERC-4D moves this function to tokens. Each token is not only a "currency", but also a "pocket" that can hold other things. Imagine that the tokens in your hands are no longer just simple numbers, but can be used to store different assets or even manage a series of resources. This design idea is indeed quite advanced. For example, in the game, your character equipment and assets are no longer scattered, but can be centralized in a "pocket" for unified management; in DeFi, there may be more financial products in the future that will be combined with this token to simplify asset management and transaction processes. Of course, this is just my personal guess, but the rapid response of the market shows that everyone is quite interested in this new mechanism.
