My theory why institutions are failing and what the west is seeing. The managerial class (laptop class) is now running most of the institutions because money favors incumbents and big corporations. The result is institutions that are run by mids. 

Mids don't like the Bourgeoisie or the working class

Is it a fair summary to say that institutions are being run by the “Peters” of the world? 

Basically, a large-scale manifestation of individuals rising to their level of incompetence?
