Crypto companies accused of market manipulation in the US Criminal charges have been brought against crypto companies for market manipulation for the first time in the US. Four firms were brought to trial: Gotbit, ZM Quant, CLS Global and MyTrade, as well as 14 people. Prosecutors accuse them of fictitious transactions to distort market prices. Some of the defendants have already agreed to plead guilty. The arrests took place not only in the US, but also abroad. This is a landmark case for the crypto industry, where such charges have not been brought before Gotbit CEO Alexey Andryunin arrested in Portugal
