Huge impact but if I had to relate I'd say the growth of cell phones was probably as significant. I'm still on the theory that it had the most impact on society and was a huge factor in demographics and physical spaces. It made cities livable. This technology leaked out of company basements for the first time and is now in the hands of babies.
