The Buttered Cat Paradox is an interesting thought experiment. It combines two generally accepted ideas: 1. Cats always land on all fours; 2. Bread smeared with butter always lands with the butter side down. The core of the paradox is that if you tie a buttered-side-up piece of bread to a cat's back and then drop it from a height, how will it land? This paradox makes one wonder how these two laws interact to cause the cat and the bread to spin in the air and never reach the ground.
