Epic Scam Unveiled: North Carolina Man Makes Millions with Fake Musicians

⏺ Michael Smith, from North Carolina, has been exposed for what could be the largest music streaming scam ever. For over 7 years, he created thousands of fake artists and songs using bots to artificially boost streams and earn royalties. 

⏺ At its peak, Smith was earning nearly $110,000 per month. Spotify and Apple Music paid him around $10 million for tracks that were created by non-existent musicians. 

Now, he faces up to 60 years in prison for his actions.
