It is important to keep the human as the center piece of the web3. That helps to focus both tech and the consensus mechanisms built around the right POV. 

The issue right now is that the tech is mostly being built without a clear value proposition in mind. If we're not targeting any problems that the users have, we're just creating something without a demand. And then the social consensus becomes just a side dish.

This way DAOs are being created where the "teams" are building tech and the users are living their own lives without them being connected to each other in any other way except the token. A token that becomes an anchor to the project, instead of being something valuable.
