Hey fam! Big maintenance this afternoon. The new version of the Farcaster node introduced some changes that I had to deal with. You've probably noticed that there's a big problem with cast synchronization. We're going to switch to a good old queue (if your tip doesn't work, it will be queued and processed once the cast is synchronized). I'm hoping for a release by tomorrow (max Saturday). Even if we don't communicate much at the moment, we're working so hard behind the mask. Being early on an early technology sometimes has its drawbacks. These problems will soon be behind us, whether in terms of cast synchronization or the problems of the previous airdrop claim. Thank you very much for your patience. We're preparing some real banger announcements about the ecosystem very soon. Stay tuned fam ❤.

i think eventually we won't call follows 'follows' everything will be so algorithmic that follows are just one data point that influences what you see. so a follow is more just a way of telling the algorithm that you like that person. but the concept of a follow-based feed on a public social media network is skeuomorphic to a pre-2020s internet. tiktok FYP was the catalyst online social condenses to barbell strat: maximally private closed networks in the form of groupchats, and public algorithmic social media (everything else)

I’ve never been a creative person. Farcaster changed that for me. It showed me that you don’t have to be an artist to make art. You don’t have to be a builder to build stuff. All you really need is the courage to try something new.

It's not hard to be intellectually honest and negative. Negativity also performs better than optimism on social media. Much harder to be intellectually honest and optimistic with bias for action, willingness to fail, learn, ability to find the appropriate amount of signal in all feedback and then discard remaining noise, and most importantly, not quitting.

We have removed them to avoid any further misunderstandings. We want to emphasize that we are not sponsored in any way with the branded affiliations.
