I’m finishing a three-day water-only fast and I appreciate: - my body and how it manages a bunch of complicated processes in the background. I’m amazed by what I’ve learned about fasting and excited to keep exploring. - connection to food and its ability to provide needed nutrients and rebuild bodies. Fasting, like gardening, has deepened my relationship with what I eat. - a family who inspires all types of challenges to promote well-being. Five of us went without food for three days. We encouraged each other and found humor when it got hard.

wow, 3 days...the most I've ever done is 16h and the truth is that he didn't like it very much 😅. I find the fasting very interesting, how the body is able to manage it.

Right? The body is amazing. I had this idea that I would suffer going without food that long but the body adjusted well. Hunger wasn't a huge issue, but I was out of energy by day 3. I read that 16 hour fasts are good. Some people do it daily and call it intermittent fasting.
