Watched the first episode of Rings of Power, and found myself waiting for it to finish so I could go to sleep. It's absurd that so much money and time can be spent on a roll of the dice. If we really can't cracked the code, I am sure that AI can tell us if a script/episode sucks.

Running an AI across all the scripts in the world and then telling that AI which scripts were nominated for Oscar’s etc is a brilliant idea.

You could say the same about the soporific Silmarillion. I’m fully caught up on the show and I’m enjoying it. It’s not incredible television. More like watching a moving painting about a place I think about a lot (middleearth).

it gets better but not by much. this is sadly not the best plot based story (similar to silmarillion vs LOTR). most of the money went on the visuals which are stunning

Haven't seen it but just saw the new Jurassic World: Dominion and had very similar feelings. How can you pour *so much money* in something that is *so obviously bad*.

Visuals are great. Episode 1 was pretty slow. I think it gets better with time. Waiting for the season finale tomorrow.
