I have a difficult time believing we haven’t already blown well past the 1.5°C global warming limit proposed by the IPCC.
Winters where I live are drastically warmer than 40 years ago. Probably 4-5°C higher on average.

Yes, I understand that. Supposedly I live in a place 3-4F higher over the last 40 years. However, the weather we experience seems significantly higher on average.

The +1.5°C anomaly threshold is a global mean; the Earth is very heterogenous, so local conditions may be warmer or cooler than the average trend.

Above that limit many pacific islands cease to exist from sea level rise iirc

Same. We're just not getting anywhere near the snowfall. It's coming down as rain here. I'm not sure i'd agree with 4-5º C but prob half that.

It goes in cycles.. where I am is mostly colder.
