Yes and no. 

The Linux driver support is also a job. I believe those maintainers will be required to pass kyc to be able to continue doing their work. Otherwise them not having a job will parallelize their employer funding. 

Sad, but it's also sad to see some of those trying to troll Linus instead of asking for transparency and support...
