Modular Artist Spotlight #12: Ann Annie

This week’s spotlight is on Ann Annie, the ambient modular artist known for crafting lush, meditative soundscapes. Blending Eurorack synthesis, field recordings, and delicate melodies, their music feels organic and deeply immersive, evoking a sense of nostalgia and serenity.

With a focus on generative sequencing and evolving textures, Ann Annie’s work explores the softer, more introspective side of modular synthesis. 

Ann Annie is part of the early ambient members of the modular synth community where everybody was using the classic Rings + Clouds modules from mutable instruments. As I am using a lot of clones of this brand I was deeply inspired by the textures and the sounds created by this community but translating them into techno context. Would definitely give it a listen!
