By disrupt, i think users will shift away from engaging with chat bots as the main way to interact with a model’s outputs. The problem with chat is that it’s not easy to go back and edit outputs, it’s hard to deal with both visual and audio mediums, etc. so I would imagine chat will be a layer on a larger canvas.

Define “disruption”. 

IMO, all models are build ups and complexity grows along with productivity of the model.

Yah. I could see that! I just think that chat as a form factor is rather limiting, as I’ve been playing with other AI applications, and realizing how freeing and deep it is to not be constrained by chat. Figjam AI being one good example of this.

From what I’ve picked up from recent interviews with Altman, they will most likely not release a stronger model with better reasoning this year, but rather new products and use cases (most likely AI agents etc). 

Excited for competition which is heating up though!
