Hmm idk. Can't find any other articles on this. Trying to scour forums to and no info. iMessage is an encrypted form of communication where as disabling it would actually open up a whole can of worms. My guess is turning it off will do more harm than good.

Make it harder so your crypto stays there right? Another company, (Amazon), was actually caught up because they were using malicious tactics to keep people from canceling their prime memberships. Maybe not the same but simplicity and less steps is always better.
