Crystal Hearts

My fellow aid workers from a local Ukrainian nonprofit were targeted and hit by a russian drone two days ago. They were evacuating civilians from the frontline in Pokrovsk. While the civilians they evacuated and other volunteers sustained minor injuries, a British volunteer, Edward, who was the driver that day, took the biggest hit from the explosives. One of his arms and a leg were amputated, and he is currently recovering in the ICU. 😓

Will be visiting Eddy tomorrow at the Superhumans Center, where he’s undergoing rehabilitation after the amputation of his arm and leg and will be receiving prosthetics. so glad he’s recovering well and accepting visitors 🫂

What happened to him is yet another war crime committed by the russians when they deliberately targeted a civilian evacuation vehicle. All the volunteers and aid workers are constantly at risk of being hit. ❤️‍🩹
