I used to get frustrated when people would criticize/complain about societal problems but not actually follow through on any action to address them.

Nowadays, I actually find a lot of solace in this. It means all the idiotic solutions won't get implemented. 

Actions > Words.

For example, my greatest fear is that socialism/communism seeps into the US. 

But i'm comforted by the fact that most socialists fundamentally have an aversion to the concept of hard work itself.
