Privacy is normal. Railgun uses the privacy pools protocol ( https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4563364 ) which makes it much harder for bad actors to join the pool without compromising users' privacy. https://twitter.com/WuBlockchain/status/1779813061060391246

Privacy is actually a relatively new concept for humans. Didn't become a thing till recently in our evolution (like the 16-1700's). Up until that point we all slept in the same room with our families and livestock.
