I wonder how on Earth social media platforms with these clauses deal with unauthorized redistribution. Like with platforms' AI scrapping everyone's social media. People post things they don't have "rights" to all the time. It's like making a deal with the man across the street to take his neighbor's house π

good point to raise! short answer is: they donβt do anything. weβve all just sort of collectively accepted that we can post whatever online. even me sharing artworks by artists I love is technically illegal (unless itβs free of copyright, usually 70 yrs after the artistβs death), but artists are happy to have their work shared (as long as itβs not commercialised by the person sharing and credits are provided), so they donβt kick up a fuss and platforms donβt respond
