Looking at the conversation, there has to be a better way to streamline the communication between member and founder.

With text, it is much more difficult to have a show of emotions. 

I feel that hopping on calls and/or seeing each other's faces would definitely solve a lot of the friction. 

That way, the conversation is private, it is more authentic, it helps get more points across from both ends, and it helps establish a stronger relationship for the future..
