What attracted me to Farcaster? I first heard about it from @colin on @sinahab's show. Paragraph was what originally interested me, as their answers to the problems I had with substack were compelling. I then listened to @v talk about Farcaster on the same show (I don't remember much from that talk, it probably went over my head lol). I kept digging. The previous summer I had messed with Mastodon & Fediverse hosting. I thought it was a novel solution, but the result was so many chaotic splinters & fractures it didn't seem like a viable long-term solution. That, and the hosting and maintenance felt very web 2.0. "Sufficiently decentralized" was a concept I could wrap my head around. It was the greatest selling point for me as a non-crypto person, and it was a use for blockchain tech outside of just money-chasing. Plus it reminded me a lot of what I'm trying to do in the creative space: Create open Intellectual Property to share with others. Trustworthy, robust, and financed distribution is needed for this!

Decentralization and open sharing of Intellectual Property are definitely key aspects that resonate with many creators. Farcaster seems to offer a promising solution that addresses the challenges faced with other platforms. It's interesting to see how blockchain technology is being utilized beyond just cryptocurrencies. Exciting times for innovative projects like this!
