Couple of times a day usually just a couple mins.

Are the topics of these conversations usually the same or do they differ?

Also how do you feel when there are days when you didn’t got the chance to call them?

The topics are usually similar, just checking in if everything is ok (did we have food, go to gym etc) and if something interesting happened, we talk about that. 

I feel ok but they definitely don’t. For them, it’s a way to ensure that their son who lives thousands miles apart by himself is doing ok I guess
